Fortunately, I arrived back home in St. Pete last night from DC around 8PM–I used a same day change to get on the earlier flight. Yay! After relaxing a bit and doing some chores around the house, I went to bed at a decent time–setting the alarm for 6:30am–so that I could shower/get ready and pack for the airport(again!).
First, we are leaving at 9:30AM for Tampa Airport(TPA) in order to drop off the car at A-1 Express Parking This is a fantastic service. It only costs $5.99/day for valet service. It’s super easy and makes getting in and out of the airport in your own car a pleasure rather than a complete hassle. A-1 is less than 5 minutes away from the main terminal. The valet service is very convenient–just hand your keys over, get a claim ticket, then board the shuttle bus. The shuttle buses are running constantly and I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes. Upon arrival in Tampa, the shuttle bus picks you up and takes you back to your car. (Tip: There are discount coupons on a Google search) Sometimes, I’ll add a car wash to my valet service so when I return, I get a nice and clean car. I highly recommend it!
OK, now back to the regular scheduled program…In order to save time, we didn’t eat breakfast at home so by the time we arrived in Charlotte, we were looking for a nosh. In a quick Google search, we found a link to all the best restaurants in U.S. airports. Amazingly enough, Charlotte’s BBQ joint made the top list! Perfect!
Here’s the link!
Now off to Charleston, South Carolina! Cannot wait!
