Good Morns! This blog is a combination of my two passions–travel and exercise. I am starting a “Travel Tip of the Day” series which will post every Tuesday and Thursday. For a travel source, I will have a running list to of all the “Travel Tips.” Once I’ve posted a few more “Travel Tips,” I will include a link on the homepage!
Travel Tip of the Day: Before you travel, make two copies of all important documents. These items include passport, driver’s license, visas, insurance card, travel insurance documents, credit cards, important phone numbers, confirmation numbers for flights, rental cars, hotels, boats, trains, tours, etc. It’s smart to email this information along with an itinerary to yourself and an “In Case of Emergency” person. Also, I somewhat hide these items in hard to reach luggage areas. Don’t leave them out for everyone to see!
Happy Birthday Papa! My grandparents live in Massachusetts–where I was born and raised–but rent a place in Florida for the winter months. While they are escaping the cold winter weather and storms of New England, they get to see me all the time! Lucky them! The truth is, lucky me! I feel fortunate that I only live about an hour away from their place. For the first time since I graduated high school, we have the chance to spend quality time together. It’s priceless 🙂 Nana and Papa are the most loving, supporting, active, funny, and thoughtful grandparents. Today is Papa’s birthday, therefore, Daniel and I are driving down to meet them for a special birthday dinner.
Yesterday, I had a busy and productive day. I’m putting together travel plans for the year 2015. So far I’m thinking, Eastern Europe, Israel, and a South American Cruise to Antarctica. Also, I need to spend some time exploring more of the popular U.S. destinations. I love international travel so much that I often forget how awesome it is here!
I will have some more travel posts coming your way later, but first let’s look at today’s sunrise from the balcony. One of my goals for 2015 is to be more in the moment. I’m always stressing about the past and planning for the future so it was recommended that I take a minute to enjoy the moment at hand. Perhaps, everyone these days is inspired by Frozen’s, “Let It Go?”
Sun’s out so time to get the day started for real. Breakfast consisted of fresh coffee, overnight oats with local Plant City strawberries, and some water. During and after breakfast, I buckled down at the computer to bust out a ton of work before I headed to the gym.
Light Cardio–3/4 mile jog to gym, plus 40 minutes on Arc Trainer
Upper Body–mixed of cables and weight machine
Core/Abs– see below!
I prepared a healthy and delicious lunch to refuel. Quick turkey sandwich thin with tomatoes and sauteed power greens and bell peppers did the trick.
Here’s a quote to start your day!
